The burgeoning levels of stress among humans today has a lot to do with the demands of modern life, including financial needs. Be it for health, education or day-to-day life, rising prices and increasing lifestyle demands are pushing people into corners, the only way out of which are loans. And then comes the added stress of repaying those loans. This pressure is what a new reality show, Kisti Barabar; aims to ease.

The show, which is being hosted by Ollywood actor Kuna Tripathy and is being telecast on reputed Odia general entertainment channel, Tarang TV, is focused on easing the loan burden of its participants - all selected from among people with back-breaking loan burdens. A chosen participant will be fielded 15 questions by the host, with each correct answer earning him/her one loan instalment. Three wrong answers, however would mean end of game for the participant. Another contestant will then got the opportunity to play.
The participant who cannot make it to the hot seat can also earn money. If the chosen player is not able to answer a question, and another participant does so, then that instalment is transferred to him/her.

This show is not only an entertainer, but also a unique effort to bring a joy to families struggling with financial problems.
