Athagarh Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Sudhansu Mishra was arrested by vigilance officers on charges of accumulating wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The raids were conducted at Mishra's houses in Bhubaneswar, Bolangir, Cuttack, Bhawanipatna, Sambalpur, Berhampur, Sonepur and Puri yesterday.

The vigilance officers has detected movable and immovable assets of Mishra worth Rs 5,92,93,178 during raids (hard cash of Rs 93,61,780, fixed deposits of Rs 2,61,97,151, savings bank deposits of Rs 93,23,762, insurance premium deposits of Rs 19,19,338, household articles of Rs 3 lakh, gold ornaments and gold coins of Rs 8,26,500, silver ornaments of Rs 15,000, vehicles worth of Rs1,55 lakh and plots and buildings worth of Rs 1,12,50,647).
