The capital city Bhubaneswar would become a child friendly smart city under CFSC (project of child friendly smart city). The project will be implemented within three years and the project will benefit a population of 12 lakh and 85,000 children both directly and indirectly.
The National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) is presented the proposal to BDA (Bhubaneswar Development Authority) for this project.
BDA Vice-chairmen Dr. Krishan Kumar has discussion with the experts of NIUA, which has received grant from Bernard Van Leer Foundation (BvLF) to develop knowledge and assistance for child friendly smart cities in India.
According to Census 2011, there are 75,300 children under the age of six living in the city.
